How about something new: [Inspirations] *Username* threads ?

Everybody who wants, can do his own Inspirations thread. You post stuff you find on the net and tell folks what you like about it.

I collect lots of pictures every week that inspire me. Mostly record cover art, but also grafitti stuff, street art. Stuff a collective called 'The Designers Republic' did. A very cool artist, i admire a lot, called Jon Blak. Etc.

What do you think ? Good idea, bad idea ?

Sounds okay to me Esper, if people want to keep the thread going, it would be interesting.

i had not one thread in mind, every user can make his own inspirations thread

i think its an interesting way, to learn more about individual users, what they like and why

and also to show what we can learn from great artwork

so if you wanted to show your own inspirations you'd start a new topic and name it for example "inspirations, AnMal"? wouldn't it be easier to start a new topic group, like we have for tutorials and gimp art and stuff?

i think it would get to crowded, if everyone posts in the same thread

also, it adds to whats happening on this board

i love to read lots of new threads everyday, dont you ?

yes i do, and i wasn't talking about one thread. in the gimp tutorials topic group there's loads of threads and if i want to find tutorials i'd go there too find them. if there was another topic group called inspirations we could post our threads there and they would be easy to find whenever you needed new impressions. (and i'd waste waaay too much time there, if there's anything i don't need it's inspiration, but i love getting it )
