matching lighting from another picture

Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone got an idea if this function is available or do i have to play arround with the curves.
what im trying to do is match the same lighting from a photograph on to another one , is there something i can do to acheive this.
