does anybody of you actually use that option ?

i dont find anybody on this board annoying enough to put him on my foes list...
and friends...yes there are a few users i like a lot, but we are not that many, that i feel i need them to have on a special friendslist to get around

I never bother with such things. To me it's useless, I consider everyone here a friend, and if I didn't, I would be here much, if at all.

Other sites, but not here. Tux has done a good job to kill any threads that are either political or religious (there's other avenues for those stories) which pretty much kills any need for strife here. lol

The one to think about is the "Moderator Message" button on the "Post a reply" toolbar. If a post is, abusive, advertising, spam, etc., GnuTux or one of the Moderators usually acts on it quickly, but with everyone’s help, it makes it even easier.

I had one person on my block list two years ago because they were constantly insulting Americans but I've never used it since. I consider everyone here as friend so I see the friend list as pointless.

i reacted to the "friends and foes" thing when i was about to join gc and it made me think once more about joining because it seemed to imply there were lots of conflicts. i couldn't see any of that, so i joined anyway but quite frankly i think it's a stupid (or at least stupidly named) function.
