I don't know if this is a known problem or if I'm not doing it right. But when I try to apply a gradient, FG to BG with the bilinear setting in the tool options, it doesn't seem to do it. The gradient still looks exactly like the linear one, i.e. it doesn't mirror it across the stretch. Is there something I should know that I'm missing?

Do you have the "Repeat" option checked?

EDIT: Nevermind this question, Oregonian has the correct diagnosis.

To have the bilinear setting work, you need to start in the center of your image and drag your mouse from there.
