Hello, I was looking for an alternative to the expensive photoshop. I have never used a photo editing program before besides Microsoft Paint, so I thought that this would be a good place to learn how to use GIMP. If I ask stupid questions please be patient with me because I do not know what I am doing.

Hi jtepn87, welcome!

We all started out the same way. New to GIMP - and like Rod said, which I can agree with, we all learn something new everyday.
