As a sort-of christmas gift, here's a pic of the gingerbread house we made... well, I did most of the building, my gf did most of the decoration. Man it was a lot of work for something that's going to be destroyed and eaten, lol. I've never tried doing this but it wasn't as hard as I had feared. I'm kind of proud it turned out as well as it did.

Anyway, happy holidays to you people.

Very nice job dd. Yes they are a lot of work.
I only made one but it was fun at the time and I was actually one of the first to start picking off the Smarties, (m-n-m's) thinking no one would miss them.

Thanks. Oh and I forgot to mention, I used inkscape to design the building elements for the house... well, mainly just drew the outlines of the pieces, printed them and cut out with scissors, then used as stencils to cut the dough.

No closed source software used in the building of this house.

Turned out really nice. Love the picture!

So, any plans on sharing the design plans and open sourcing them too? Could be the start of the open source gingerbread house building movement, begun right here at gimpchat.

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2013 to you all.

Haven't been well for sometime now.
My eyesight is deteriorating.
Well it comes with age I guess.
Gerard.
