i'm new to GIMP - quick question - was trying to make a spinning coin but don't see any options in GIMP that show GAP? Am I missing something? Did I do the install incorrectly? I'm on a Mac OS with Lion.

GAP is a third party plugin which is not included in standard GIMP installation.
Besides, to the best of my knowledge, GAP isn't compiled for Mac OS.

IIRC, some folks here were using Wine for Mac just to get Win version of GIMP with pre-installed GAP running. But that's beyond my competence. Hopefully, some Mac users will show up here soon to help you out.

to gimp chat. what gimp build did you install? was it supposed to include GAP? i think most builds don't include it, like k1tessereaena says, and then you'll have to download that separately.
