Had to give that animation a try. I used a range of 20 - 70 Y displacement on mine.

Thanks Rod and Molly. This one I tried giving it just a bit of horizontal movement too. The x values are -10, 0, and 10. The screen shot shows how I arranged the layers and what the x & y values in displace are. I need to work on this some more but it gives a general idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Hi Mahvin,
I was looking for something on Displacement. I found this topic.
I did not use the script for mirroring. Still got the expected result.
Thx for sharing.

Some time ago I made this one using mathmap and fxfoundry/animation/ combine with background

I would have to translate the tut to english, with the original caps, because I can't be able to install mathmap in my fedora 17. But in my site there is a translator widget.

Nice jamac4k! :coolthup
I don't know MathMap.
Actually use the Gimp about 3 or 4 months. Virtually everything is new to me!
Right now I'm trying to know what it is, and how it works, the Displacement.

Graechan,
did you ever think about the possibility to write one of your nice scripts to implement this tutorial?
It would be a wonderful filter|...
