Hi folks, I found this site and am looking forward to visiting here often. I just changed my computers from PC's to Macs and my old PS07 program doesn't work now. I found GIMP and am excited about learning to use it. I mostly play around in Painter 12 (and have for quite a few years) and use this type program to ready "masters". Right now I'm a real tyro regarding GIMP so will probably be touring the tutorials and various forums for a while. I'm excited about learning this program as it seems to be offering just the kind of things I need.
One question: Will G'MIC work on my Macs - both OSx 10.8's? (Mountain Lion).

yes, gmic works with gimp for mac. In fact, I would suggest to download the "mcgimp" from Partha's Place...it has G'Mic and some other python filters already installed. Partha has made McGimp a native mac application, so all you do is download and unzip it.
