i am sure that when i launched Gimpressionist it showed up with a microscopic preview, that should be quick to check...now i can't not longer check on my copy because as i wrote i replaced all plugins with that from a recent Onkel Hatti build, but i saw the difference at soon i replaced the file

Here i must say that on my laptop the Onkel Hatti tweak show a flaws
because the Save and Cancel buttons end up far out of reach, below the lower part of the screen.
( this again with Gimpressionist that "raped" :lol from Onkel Hatti build)

To solve i had to move the Windows taskbar from your usual place (the bottom of the screen) to a side, still most of the buttons end below the screen , to the point that their label can't be read but only guessed (at left should be OK at right Cancel :roll: ) but at least become possible to click

No problem for me but maybe others may dislike have to move the taskbar and/or to guess the buttons function and position

Till now i have no problem to install plugin, except mathmap

PS

Where are stored the brushes for the mypaint brush ?

@PhotoComix
The version that I propose has changed since yesterday, you can download it again.
I have not added brushes. The brushes are those supplied with Gimp.

Not saying that you added brushes : i refer to this new tool here , tooltip says "mypaint brush"

Image

it seems preloaded with some brushes , but here i can't be certain because i already added Ramon Miranda GPS so not sure from where that brushes come ,if were already in gimpainter neithers if use same format of usual gimp brushes (mypaint use a different format )

I didn't try yet the mix brush...honestly i don't even know where is and how to activate it i will try later...

@PhotoComix

I also refer to this tool.
Why do you think it uses other brushes?

The unique mix of this thread!
I swapped a few files - and it works with Python; Mathmap, GMIC and other additives...
Mypaint Brush Tools:
C:\``\gimp-painter-2.8_Onkel_Hatti_32\gimp-painter-2.8\share\gimp\2.0\brushes

OH please , please what you did exactly to make MM to work ? :bowdown
For the rest (Python, Gmic) i believe was no need to do nothing , they should work out of the box

why you could not get Samj's version to run ?
just unzip, open the folder and click on GIMP_EN.exe didn't do the trick ?

Anyway yes Samj version may run 32bit plugin but for some reason not MathMap

PS and jumping back to that new Mypaint brushes, i see are included ( in ..share/gimp/2.0/mypaint brushes ) 4 set of additional brushes .

And i wonder if those will be compatible http://photocomix2.deviantart.com/art/M ... -335059175 ...oh wait ! maybe are already included i see a devadep subfolder

And for your addon , plugin etc

the "Preferences" folder correspond to the .gimp user folder of not portable version, so inside are (empty) script, plug-ins subfolders ready to be used
