Thank you Graechan for fixing this script. It's long been a favorite of mine.

If anyone else does not like having a new item added to the Image menu, I've altered the script so that the path to it is <Image>/Script-Fu/ICCII/Layer Effects.

I've attached the altered script.

@0, are you able to change the gradient when you use stroke or satin, I still crash every time I try. Since we are both using Fedora, I would think they would work the same.

When I choose a different gradient in the Stroke filter, GIMP shuts down. I do not see a gradient selection in the Satin filter but when I change color I get results, no crashing.

Later note:

Any of the filters in ICCII/Layer Effects that has a gradient choice and the gradient is changed, GIMP crashes.

I use Fedora, Linux.

'O' do you have any Idea why this is happening in Linux systems as I am sure it will help a lot of people especially Molly to fix there systems.

I do not know what is causing this but in the final version I added a *Text Creator* script and it has a gradient choice for background and you or Molly could check to see if this works by changing it's gradient

Molly that script is actually completely independent of Iccii do you have any problems with the Blended script from File/Create/Logos

I tried the Cool Metal script in File / Create Logos and Gimp crashed when I changed the gradient.

Must be a Linux problem.

Interestingly enough, they all work fine with the default gradient. Changing the gradient makes them crash.

'O' can you bring up a new Image and select the blend tool then try and change the active gradient

The Blend tool works fine for me. I can change a gradient over a gradient, and every which way I can figure out how to use the Blend tool works including the options.

I went through the filters and found that any filter I found that has a gradient choice crashes when I try to change the gradient.

It's gotta be a Linux thing.

Quote:
This is a library error libpangoft2-1.0-0.dll in Gimp 2.8.4. Just replace the files in the bin folder.

Well, I don't have a file by that name in the bin folder. Dunno where I'd get one. Can you point me to Pogo's post?
