Thanks for the comments.
I guess I was impressed with The Nature Academy videos.
All I am willing to do in Blender these days is nature related.
The wheat bitten by frost, I should say.
It is created with arbaro, rendered in Blender.
Frost is a magic of the Blender particle system and modifiers.
Used the guidance of a tutorial for superb material and lighting conditioning.
DOF makes it look more dramatic. Added some glare and lens flare with GIMP.

k1tesseraena: i'm stunned. usually i don't like blender images as pictures - i get impressed by their accuracy and fascinated by how they can be made, but they rarely capture my imagination,which is what i most of all want from a picture. this one does! it's just beautiful, there's a lovely feeling about it and it doesn indeed look like wheat stems covered with a thin layer of frost. well done k1te!
