Hey everyone! Just got onto the gimp mobile and have no clue how to drive.

Have a simple request on how to deal with transparency. Got as far as the result of making the grey checkboard effect on the object/color I want to remove to see the original canvas its covering. Where do I go from here? Any help much appreciated.

Are you using layers? If so did you add a new layer or duplicate the original?
If you duplicated the original you may have to add an alpha channel to it.
Post a few details of your steps so far.
