This is another picture I have been trying. There is so much to learn here, especially the grass but I will keep plugging along to see if I can get better.

molly: that's an amazing picture! :paint :clap :jumpclap i can't believe you're still just learning to work in mypaint with results like this. i love the perspective you chose, makes me feel like i'm lying on the grass next to the tulip bed and looking at the clouds :). lovely work on the tulips too!

Thank you AnMal. Looking at it again, I see where I should have taken that sun out all together. I wanted it to burst through the clouds, but the more I worked on it, the messier it got. Oh well... :teeth

This is a very good result molly! I think the grass came out very well, as AnMal points out the perspective is really cool. This would well as an Easter card or similar. :)

Thank you Griatch, I appreciate all the help I can get.
My favorite subjects to paint when I was doing water colors was old barn boards and broken down barns.
Feel free to critique all you want, I need it.

Thank you guys/gals, I am even beginning to like doing this. I might not get any better, but I love the blending part.

Molly, WOW! You've been hiding your artistic talent from us. That is wonderful! Keep on painting. :paint

Excellent Molly, I love the color combo!
I agree with the others, you have been hiding your painting talents.

Soooooooooooooo, all these years (Including at GT) you're telling me "I wish I could draw!" and you always could?! :hoh

Nice work! I LOVE the clouds! :D
I just can't paint clouds good. :|
Nice work!

I am telling the truth though...I can't draw.
I can paint but don't have the talent to draw. Anyway, thank you everyone, I appreciate your feedback.

Ah! Okay! I get it then. :P
But don't you sketch before painting? I always have a sketch before I paint. :O

Yes I do Moko, but I guess what I was saying is that I can't draw people, never could.
Here is another flower arrangement I have been working on and it needs something, but don't know what.
I think it needs some kind of background behind it without making it too busy.

Thank you very much gram. In that background, I used Graechan's vignette and used a tin foil pattern.

Is this any better as far as contrast goes?

@molly

Whereas the contrast is better in this second version, I must say I liked the first background better. I'd say you could use that with a slightly darker tint and put it in a frame if you want to.
