I have been reading about this. It does look promising.

That would be a real day of celebrating. It is something every one of us worry about for ourselves friends, and loved ones.
I would even think it should be declared a holiday when and if it happens.

After successful trials in mice,

Sorry for raining on your parade again, but... this is not news. We have been able to cure cancer in mice for decades now. This is simply poor, sensationalist science reporting. Every now and then we get a new article that promises a "cure for cancer" in X years, and every time when you read the actual science, it's actually about mice trials. Curing cancer in mice is very easy, almost trivial! It's much more difficult to do it for humans.

For that matter, I'm skeptical of any scientist that claims to have a "cure for all cancer". Because there is no such disease as "cancer", rather there are dozens and dozens of more or less related diseases that all get lumped under the label of cancer, and it's highly unlikely that we'll ever find a cure that works for all of them.

So until we have some solid data from human trials, I'd advise not to get overly excited.

I am willing to bet that the cure lies within all the medicinal trees being cleared in not only the rain forests, but everywhere foliage exists. We continually choose to destroy those and our own self existence.

Well when mankind is extinct the earth will cure itself.

Eh, come the next ice age, we'll be gone, one way or another - either we figure out space travel by then or we'll all be dead.

Pretty fascinating when you think about it.We try so hard to kill ourselves and each other off in so many ways and still...we exist.
