Use Scribus to make the links, export as PDF, email as attachment.

The Image Map plug-in doesn't make an image but a text file with code you add to the HTML email. Save your image map from Gimp in text format. You then have to design an HTML email, add your image and image map code, which for compatibility you'll need to know the proper way to do that. HTML emails are not designed the same way as web pages.

Here's a few links to give you a better idea of the process.

I got it working. I created the image map with gimp and then used a free website that lets you format an email in html and then mail it to yourself since gmail can acept email in html but not write. Sent a test message out and it worked. The only part i had trouble with was getting the imgsrc html code to work. I had the jpg and html file all in same directory but image was still not showing up. So i just uploaded to a picture server and it works now. Haha.

Graechan, This converter will not work for HTML email without specific editing (see my last post).
