With the help of Voronoi Stippler and Inkscape, I figured out how to pack marbles on top of each other. Of course more then enough GIMP/G'MIC blends involved to consider this an overall GIMP creation. :)

edit:

Replaced the original lost edit with the attached below. :)

Edit; also, it looks like the shack recovered the image once again, but just linking this time. :)

Oh, I like this, super shiny marbles. I think I lost these... where did you find them?

Glad you got the point too ek22. ;)

Beautiful, Lyle. My mom did some glass work onto ceramics and she did a bowl using marbles and your picture reminds me of that.

Reminds me of those glass bead things people put in their gardens, made with grout and beads as tiles, comes out looking just like this.

I should have said it all went into a kiln and the marbles were kind of melted and flattened.

Mostly what i played when i was a kid was marbles.Always had to win those infamous crockies and boulders. They were like gold back then.
Leave it to you to lose someone else's marbles Lyle. :lol

Nicely done though.

Guess I should have scrolled down further; cool stuff ed22. Not sure why the Shack's not showing my render now, but created a new one anyway. lol

Decided to leave out the canvas this time. :)

Thanks Rod; toying with Inkscape's layers (very limited and sad I am) and such. Used all the cool filters in Inkscape too, but still, I had to do way too much finally blending in the GIMP. :)

I know the ladies like the pink. lol

Thanks for the comments all; not sure why the Shack hosed my first render, but it's gone to the oblivion of cyberspace now I'm afraid since I rarely save any of my renders locally (this is my hobby not career; lol). :)
