Hi :) I've been trying to install G'MIC and it's just not working. I've got Windows 64 bit, and I've tried copying extracted files to the plug-ins folder, but when I open Gimp it's just not there. Any ideas? Thanks

Naala, did you download the correct GMIC for Windows 64bit? There are several to choose from. Your download should have a gmic.exe and another one. I do not use Windows, I use Linux, so mine will be different. Mine just says GMIC with no exe.

when I install G'MIC (but I am on 32 bits windows) I find an installation exe, which provides to install it; do you have it for your 64 bits version?

I did download the right one, and the .exe file keeps giving me error messages. Thanks for the video, I tried following his directions, but it didn't work. I'm now downloading Gimp 2.8 to see if that helps

EDIT: Updating from Gimp 2.6 to 2.8 seems to have solved the problem :) Thanks guys

Welcome to Gimp Chat Naala.
This error has to do with some DLL files updated in Gimp-2.8 i believe. :)
Glad you got it running though! :bigthup

Maybe this should be brought to Davids (G'MICS creator), attention.Maybe a version for both Gimp-2.6 and Gimp-2.8 is required? Still a lot of folks using Gimp-2.6 versions right now.It is just too stable of a version to give up i guess. :)
