is it truly free or just a free trial? I love the look of the lighting it makes.

I am still having issues with my rendering speed on Windows Vista. We have concluded it is because the new Flame Painter engine is written with 3DopenGL3 and 1.7 is written with 3DopenGL2. So i can't use it.
That means that if your graphics card can not handle 3DopenGL3 your in the same boat.I really need to update my card.
You can test which one you have by following these directions.
1) click Ctrl + alt on the keyboard and then f12 - this brings up the display settings for openGL.

Peter just emailed me for more of my graphics card internal calls.I think he is going to try and build me one for openGL 2. Isn't that nice of him to go through all that extra trouble. :)

Yes; Peter and his team does deserve many kudos. Well worth the money for the pro and I need more rest time to do more play, but I see many wonderful things in store for this release soon. Hopefully Peter will figure your issue out soon Rod and in doing so, find other ways to make it even better (that's what always happens when they dig into problems; folks don't like to do that, but once they do, they discover better ways to make products more wonderful). :)

Yep found out i am using 1.5 version of OpenGL and Peters program uses 2.xx. And he said 3.0 very soon. :)
He had me try this in a command window...
"C:\Program Files\Flame Painter 2 Pro\Flame Painter 2 Pro.exe" а-graphicssystem opengl1

In hopes it would force pro 2 to use my graphics card and act like the 1.7 version i have.
It didn't work though.Does anyone know of a way to do this?
