Animation with Many Layers... [SOLVED]

GIMP Version: 2.6.11
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Advanced Level

I have an animation with 50+ layers or so. I used the script 'Combine Background' to combine my background layer with all the other layers.

Now I have an image I want to place in the foreground over all these 50+ layers, that will complete the animation. I've done this before, but can't seem to remember how it's done.

What do I need to do to combined my top foreground layer with all the other layers below it?
I don't want to duplicate, move and then merge every layer, one at a time.

Can someone please refresh my memory on how to do this? :oops:

Filters > Animation > Overlay Background

Make sure the image you want on top of all the layers is the bottom layer and all of the layers are visible.

Are you positive about this? I do have 'Overlay Background' as part of my animation filters. I was thinking that the word 'Overlay' would have something to do with the layer mode.
This must be the correct way to do what I'm asking? I've done it before. :oops:

After you combine the background and overlay the background, I delete the two bottom layers. You don't need them anymore.
I find that makes your animation smoother with no jerky bumps.

Just to reassure you, Wallace, this is what it says in the Plug-In browser. Remember, there's always Undo. :hehe

And as Molly said, delete the background layer when you are finished.

Overlay, in this case, means to place over. I got it thanks and I'll try to remember this in the future, I hope.
