Did you refresh the filter ? I've just corrected a bug in the 'no-angle' code.

Also, a simple trick to allow multiple words is to draw a quasi-transparent line between words, so that's the object becomes a single one :

Now that's cool David; will add a semi-transparent fill then when creating objects with voids. Thanks. Just finished my chores so I can play for a little while before I hit the sack (work this evening. :( ). :)

Still get bug with 0 deg (added very light transparent line; not sure how solid it has to be to eliminate crash), but at least the fill for random works now (my goal from the start anyway). :)

What do you call 'bug' ? Is there still an error message ? Or do you get only a transparent image as a result ?
And, the trick is not to use a thin line, as it will possibly disappear when doing interpolated versions of the sprite to pack (when rotation or downsizing it !). You can just draw a quite big quasi-transparent stroke on your text to be sure all letters keep connected at any angle or scale.
It doesn't matter as this stay invisible on the final picture.

I think I know what the problem was David. My object was significantly big relative to the canvas size. When I chose a bigger canvas/mask combo, it didn't crash. :)

Lyle I was just thinking last night about a script to fill text with text using the 'Pack Sprites filter' so I'm glad to see you and Ronounours have made some inroads into this

If those rotated randomly sized words could be different sets of text type and set to a selected shape, you could make some very interesting word art or word maps (clouds). :bigthup
