Masking is supported which would allow you to limit where the fire shows, but in order to make the masking work to be "similar" to your example, you would need to use saulgoode's combine script. Plus, the fire always starts at the bottom of the image in my script, not at the selected areas. I'll post some different examples later and steps to show how to achieve the possible options.

Well, I'm glad you do have a workaround. I wish there were a few more options from a programming standpoint, but there aren't.
